Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly team at our busy NHS and Private practice. We are a family run independent practice with loyal patients and staff. We have 5 dentists, a hygienist and a specialist.

We are seeking someone keen to pursue a career in dental nursing who we can train to our high standards and enrol with a recognised apprenticeship provider. The role includes chair side assistance, record keeping and infection control procedures. Hepatitis B vaccination is a requirement.

The position is for full time with 6 hours per week dedicated to study time as per apprenticeship requirements. Working hours are Monday - Friday, 8.15am to 5.30pm, with the study hours being set depending on the needs of the business.

The salary offered will be at apprenticeship level as a minimum for the first year, with higher rates payable depending on any existing experience and level of performance.

The ideal candidate must be motivated, presentable, punctual, loyal and be able to work well as part of a team but also on their own and take initiative. You must have an excellent work ethic and positive attitude and show willingness to learn. You should have good computer and typing skills.

The practice is modern and fully equipped with the latest technology, including digital x-ray, intraoral scanners and microscope. Parking is available on the road and there are very good public transport links. All surgeries are equipped with air conditioning/heating.

We are supportive in any additional training to further growth and skills. CPD is provided for all staff members via Agilio (formerly Isopharm).
