Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-motivated and willing Apprentice Dental Nurse with excellent customer service skills to complement our established staff team at Daventry Dental Care Monday -Friday 8.30-5.30pm.

We are a hardworking, friendly team looking to upskill and use our full skill set in the practice making the patient the heart of everything we do. We are looking for someone who will work in surgery with long-term looking to career progress to be a Qualified Dental Nurse . This is a customer facing role, duties include all tasks conducive to Dental Nursing, stock control, communicating in a team, being a team player and compliance duties. We looking for a Apprentice Dental nurse that wants career progression and highly motivated to do well as a team and individually. Patient confidentiality is essential in this role and an understanding of GDPR is desirable.

The successful applicant may also be asked to undertake other tasks to aid the smooth running of our Practice. We use 'Exact' software; some knowledge of this is helpful but full training will be given on site and provision of a dental Nursing qualification will be obtained over the 18 months to 2 year course period.

We expect to pass a Criminal Records Bureau check and preference will be given to applicants with Maths and English qualifications.

You will also be asked to provide up-to-date proof of the necessary vaccinations and Hepatitis B immunity status and Covid 19.

About us:

Our surgery opening hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday-Friday. The successful appliant will work Monday- Friday . Our standard working week is 37.5 hours and we all work 1 Saturday per month 8.30-3pm at 1.5 x hourly rate if overtime is offered to you.

You will be given 6 hours per week onsite to complete coursework to assist with gaining the Dental Nurse Qualification.
