To assist dentists and other dental professionals in providing high-quality care to patients, while working towards a Level 3 Dental Nurse qualification. The apprentice will learn and develop skills to support clinical procedures, maintain high standards of infection control, and deliver excellent patient care in a dental practice environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Chairside Assistance:
Support the dentist during a wide range of dental procedures.
Prepare and maintain dental materials, instruments, and equipment.
Ensure patients are comfortable and supported during treatment.
2. Infection Control:
Follow strict cross-infection protocols and procedures.
Sterilise instruments and maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
Adhere to practice health and safety policies and CQC standards.
3. Patient Care & Administration:
Welcome patients and provide reassurance throughout their treatment.
Record and update patient information accurately.
Assist with booking appointments and handling patient queries.
4. Learning & Development:
Attend all training sessions as required by the apprenticeship provider.
Complete coursework, exams, and assessments in a timely manner.
Seek and respond to feedback to improve performance and skills.

Qualifications & Entry Requirements:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above
Must meet eligibility requirements for apprenticeship funding.
No previous dental experience required - full training provided.
