Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Apprentice/Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental clinic. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and a commitment to patient welfare.

Duties

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Provide exceptional patient care, addressing any concerns or questions patients may have before, during, and after their treatment. Maintain accurate patient records and update information as required, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations. Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate with patients for follow-up visits. Ensure the dental surgery is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations. Sterilise instruments and manage inventory of dental supplies effectively. Communicate effectively with both patients and team members to foster a positive environment within the practice. Utilise IT systems for record keeping and appointment management.

Qualifications

Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. Strong IT skills to manage electronic patient records and scheduling systems. Excellent organisational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment. A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being capable of working independently when required.
