Our practice benefits from two sterilisation facilities, digital radiology and an intraoral scanner. We offer a wide range of treatments including Implants, Invisalign, Crowns & Bridges, Composite bonding, and Whitening.

What you will be taught as a Trainee Dental Nurse:



Key Responsibilities



Develop competence across a wide range of dental chair side support procedures.

Develop knowledge of a wide range of practical treatment procedures and the relevant support necessary to ensure effective outcomes.

Develop competence in the manipulation and application of dental materials and instruments across a wide range of dental treatment procedures.

Learn to prepare individual treatment rooms for a wide range of dental procedures.

Develop and demonstrate competence in decontamination and sterilization of medical and dental devices within clinical and non-clinical environments, ensuring appropriate records are completed.

Be responsible as part of the clinical team for the care of the patient from arrival to completion of treatment.

Undergo training as may be required to develop skills and abilities

Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR

Act in accordance with the practice rules and code of conduct

Recording of treatment including charting form the dentist's instructions and other associated clerical work. Preparation of filling materials, impression materials, instruments and equipment. Cleaning away used instruments and materials and keeping the surgery clean and tidy. First aid treatments for collapse e.g. coronary attack, fainting, bleeding tooth socket, epilepsy etc. Triage of patients attending for emergency treatment. Providing patients with pre and post-operative instructions and information prior to safely discharging the patient following, for example, minor oral surgery, and ensuring the instructions are understood.

GCSE's Maths & English grade 4



A professional appearance Excellent follow-up ability on all tasks Dedicated to providing a first-class patient experience. Reliable and punctual. Prepared to work according to the practice policies and procedures. All relevant and up to date immunisations (Hep B immunisation will be provided) Excellent listening skills and a calm, empathetic approach to patients. Excellent organisational skills. Ability to work as part of a team. An ability to bring energy and enthusiasm to any situation and always act with honesty and integrity. A "can-do" attitude, with the desire to learn new skills and take on new challenges. To be proactive and demonstrate initiative. Be willing to work on reception as well as clinical duties.

Monday-Thursday shifts are 8:15-5:30 Friday 8:15-2:30
