Hours of Work: Monday- Friday,40 hours between the hours of 7.30am - 6pm on a rota basis. Shifts to be confirmed.

Salary: 14,526.20

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a candidate to join Tiny Toez nursery. We are looking for someone to join our nursery to support the children with their care and education. Highly trained professionals who play a key role in ensuring that young children learn and develop.

Work



As an apprentice, you'll work at a nursery setting and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

An Early Years practitioner on a Level 2 apprenticeship will focus on supporting the care, learning, and development of children from birth to five years old. Your duties will involve direct interaction with children and working under the supervision of a more senior staff member, such as a qualified Early Years Educator.

Core duties



Support play-based learning: Assist in planning and delivering creative and purposeful play activities, both indoors and outdoors, that support children's development.

Safeguard children: Understand and follow all safeguarding and child protection procedures, including reporting any concerns to the person in charge.

Assist with daily care routines: Help with essential tasks, such as feeding, changing nappies, and promoting good hygiene practices.

Observe and record development: Support the observation and assessment of each child's progress, helping to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

Maintain health and safety: Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for the children by identifying and reporting potential risks or hazards.

Promote healthy living: Encourage healthy eating and physical activity through play and educational activities.

Communication and teamwork



Interact with children: Communicate with children in a way that encourages their language development, including those with additional needs or for whom English is not their first language.

Engage with parents and carers: Communicate with parents and carers about their child's daily activities and overall progress, working together to support their child's development.

Work with a team: Collaborate with colleagues and follow the direction of more senior staff to meet the needs of all children.

Professional development



Adhere to policies: Understand and follow your setting's policies and procedures, including those for confidentiality and reporting.

Engage in reflective practice: Use feedback and supervision to identify and improve your skills and practices as an Early Years Practitioner.

Undertake training: Actively participate in all training required for your apprenticeship, including sessions on safeguarding, health and safety, and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Note: A Level 2 practitioner works under supervision and does not hold a leadership role. Your focus is on providing high-quality care and support to children, rather than leading or managing other staff.
