Optimum Controls Services are electrical contractors specialising in the design, installation and maintenance of building management systems.

The successful candidate will provide support for electrical installations, repairs, planned maintenance and new installations. They will be responsible for executing all works in a safe manner, with responsibility for your own personal safety and other personnel.

Experience/Qualifications

A minimum of 4 GSCE's or equivalent, at Grade Ato C including English, Maths and a science related subject.
A minimum of NVQ level 2 in a relevent course.

Candidates without the above will be considered although experience working in the electrical industry is essential.

The role

Initially assisting in:

Manufacture of control panels. Installation of new commercial, industrial and domestic electrical installations. Maintenance of commercial and industrial electrical installations. Fault diagnosis and repair on a variety of electrical installations. Electrical testing and commissioning to existing and new electrical installation to BS7671.
The successful candidate will be required to attend specified college to achieve set training benchmarks within City & Guilds Electrical qualifications (C&G 2357) or equivalent

Must demonstrate and maintain good awareness of site and company rules.

Candidate requirements:

Full, clean UK driving Licence. Good time management The ability to work alone or in a team. Commitment & strong work ethic. Positive attitude. Ability to show and use initiative. Communication skills. Willingness to learn.

Future prospects

Potential to be a fully qualified electrician obtaining great experience, with the potential to be a long term member of our growing team.

Rate of pay dependant on experience.

Pay: 8.00-14.00 per hour
