Responsibilities

Assist qualified electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision. Prepare work sites by setting up ladders, scaffolding, and safety barriers. Follow technical drawings, diagrams, and instructions accurately. Conduct routine inspections of electrical components to identify faults or potential hazards. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly. Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations at all times during tasks. Attend training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and practical skills.

Skills

Basic understanding of electrical systems gained through education or previous experience. Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, etc. Familiarity with power tools used in electrical work like drills, saws, or testers is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail when following technical instructions. Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. Willingness to learn quickly and adapt to new tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces as required by project specifications. This position provides valuable hands-on experience for aspiring electricians committed to developing their technical expertise within a professional setting.
