Your role:



Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (MEICA) Engineering apprentices play a key role in the delivery of infrastructure projects for flood and coastal management, regulated water market, mining remediation, reservoirs, railways, highways and green engineering. Working with clients and construction teams across the public, private and third sectors.

Apprentices have varied responsibilities and duties that may include:

development and delivery of asset inspection

options appraisals

concept designs

detailed scheme designs.

The role would be well suited to those looking for a career change or just starting out on their career path.

Apprentices on this pathway work towards achieving Level 6 (BEng) accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and the Institution of Measurement and Control (InstMC).

Study is undertaken at Warwick University via block release delivery and is combined with supported workplace training. On this scheme. apprentices are required to travel to and stay near Warwick University to attend University for a five-day block six times across the academic year.

Apprenticeships are fully funded. JBA also funds block release travel and accommodation expenses.

Candidates will be required to build a knowledge of engineering and will possess an interest in developing and progressing a career in engineering consultancy.

Qualifications required:



Five GCSEs or equivalent (Grades 9 to 4 (Ato C)) including Maths and English
and

A Level: AAA grades at A level, to include Mathematics and a Physical Science. Applicants with strong profile, but without A level Mathematics will be subject to passing a Maths assessment.

or

BTEC: BTEC Diploma grade DD, with an A grade A level Mathematics, or subject to passing a Maths assessment

BTEC Extended Diploma grade DDD, including two Mathematics units or subject to passing a Maths assessment

Candidates with non-traditional qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will be dependent on the employer's recruitment process, and subject to passing appropriate assessment on Mathematics set by The University of Warwick.

Entry requirements for those currently in employment will be based on meeting funding eligibility and requirements of both The University of Warwick and JBA Consulting.

to be over the age of 18

to have the right to live and work and live in the UK to qualify for funding

to live within a commutable distance of the office you are applying to

a valid UK driving licence or be seeking to undertake your driving test

sufficient I.T. skills to learn relevant software tools under supervision, i.e. CAD, Microsoft Word and Excel.
