We are consistently expanding and are seeking a keen
Apprentice Engineering Operative
to join our dynamic team in Cookstown.
This apprenticeship is in partnership with Northern Regional College, and our ideal candidate must have achieved or be expected to achieve:
A minimum of 4 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grade 4/ C or above, including Maths, Science and English.
A hands-on approach and willingness to learn new skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
A team player with good communication skills
As an Apprentice you will undertake a
Level 2 Apprenticeship in Engineering
. Units may include:
Applied electrical and mechanical science for engineering
Engineering Maintenance Procedures
Preparing and Controlling Engineering
Manufacturing Operations
Electronic Devices and Communication
Engineering Assembly Methods and Techniques
Selecting and Using Secondary Machining
Techniques to Remove Material
Application of Welding Processes
Fabrication techniques and sheet metal work
Electronic Circuit Construction
MMA Welding

As an Apprentice Engineering Operative, you will:
Fabricate:
Manufacture chassis and key product components with precision, using fabricating and welding skills.
Earn as you Learn
: Get paid as you earn your recognised engineering qualifications.
State-of-the-Art Equipment:
Use of various welding and CNC machinery on a day-to-day basis.
Practical Skills Development
: You'll gain hands-on skills that are directly applicable to engineering & assembly roles. Your experience will include assembling engine-driven and electric pressure washers using a variety of hand and power tools, working with fuel systems, and applying wiring and electronics skills within our electrical engineering department. You'll also learn sheet metal and tubing fabrication techniques, including welding.
