Apprentice Fabricator/welder
Job Description
We are currently looking to recruit an Apprentice Fabricator Welder to join our busy Engineering Workshop based at Rigifa, Cove.
During the 4-year term of apprenticeship you will be involved in learning how to use different welding and fabricating techniques to carry out the safe and efficient repairs, maintenance, fabrication, welding and installation works of heavy plant and equipment within workshops and off-site environments, ensuring that works are being carried out in accordance with Company H&S procedures at all times.
This position is full time and combines the opportunity of paid work with both an on the job and a formal training programme, where attendance at college, normally on a day release basis, will be included and assessment of skills will take place via visits from the college assessor.
The ideal candidate must:
Be prepared to work as part of a team
Be able to work in a dirty and busy environment to meet deadlines
Have excellent attention to detail as you will be required to read and understand drawings
Have an interest in engineering and be willing to learn
Be hard working, self-motivated, honest and trustworthy
The successful candidate will be rewarded with an hourly rate in excess of the current National Minimum Wage for Apprentices and 28 days' annual leave.
