The Opportunity
We're offering a full-time position for an
Apprentice or Improver Electrician
who wants to build their career in
EV charging installation
.
You'll work alongside experienced Senior Electricians on projects across the UK, gaining valuable hands-on experience in electrical installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning.
This role involves
working away from home Monday to Friday
(with all hotels, meals, and travel paid). It's a great opportunity to
earn while you learn
, travel, and gain exposure to the latest technologies shaping the future of transport.
Key Responsibilities
Support installation and testing of EV charge points (AC and DC)
Assist with containment, cable routing, and termination work
Help complete inspection and test documentation
Maintain high standards of site safety and presentation
Learn to read drawings and follow technical installation plans
Work closely with the senior installation team to deliver quality results
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
Basic electrical knowledge or completion of Level 2/3 Electrical Installation
Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
Full UK driving licence (or working towards it)
Willing to work away from home Monday to Friday
Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
Desirable:
ECS or CSCS card holder
Some experience in commercial or industrial environments
Understanding of cable containment, SWA, or data cabling
Desire to complete City & Guilds 2391 and 2919 (EV) qualifications
Pay & Benefits
13.00-16.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Overtime paid at time and a half
Company van and fuel card (shared or personal, depending on experience)
30 days paid holiday (inc. bank holidays)
