The Opportunity
We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic
Apprentice Joinery Spray Painter
to join our skilled Joinery team. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in producing beautifully finished, bespoke joinery products.
As an apprentice, you'll develop your skills in surface preparation, colour mixing, and spray application, working on real projects that showcase the craftsmanship Cubby Group is known for.
What You'll Learn
Surface Preparation
Prepare furniture and joinery surfaces for spraying (sanding, cleaning, masking, etc.).
Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and defect-free before painting.
Spray Application
Operate spray equipment safely and efficiently under supervision.
Apply finishes evenly to achieve a consistent, high-quality appearance.
Colour Mixing & Finishing
Learn to mix and apply paints, stains, and lacquers to match project specifications.
Develop an understanding of different materials and finishing techniques.
Quality Control & Housekeeping
Inspect finished items for quality and finish consistency.
Maintain a clean, organised workspace, following all health and safety procedures.
Teamwork & Continuous Learning
Collaborate with skilled tradespeople across the joinery workshop.
Take part in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and career potential.
What We're Looking For

Awareness of health and safety (full training provided)
