The Company



We are a small law firm specialising in criminal and civil litigation.

Your Role



The apprentice will play an important role within the firm ensuring that the base is strong The apprentice is expected to support fee earners in undertaking administrative tasks. Providing a full and comprehensive administrative support service to the Criminal and Civil team.

Key Responsibilities:



Acting as the first point of contact for any enquiries, ensuring the professional image of the Firm is represented at all times. Respond to incoming queries by telephone and in person, taking and delivering messages in a timely manner where necessary. Give initial guidance to support people that contact the firm. Ensuring that all enquirers are dealt with according to customer care principles at all times. Sorting through the post on a daily basis, ensuring it is scanned, date stamped and filed correctly. Send all written communications (post) promptly. Preparing letters to be sent in the post into envelopes as per the firm's policies and procedures. Sending clients and witnesses confirmation of appointment via email. Provide admin support in preparing for meetings/printing and collating documents/writing presentations. Greeting clients into the conference room and regularly offering re. refreshments. Preparing of spreadsheets and directories, utilising the firm's current Case Management Software. Maintain a list of files that are awaiting ID, utility bill or LAA declarations and chasing for the same regularly using the precedents of the firm. Obtaining feedback from clients once a file has concluded. Undertake filing on a regular basis. Time recording of files. Undertake the archiving process of the firm. Maintaining the housekeeping of the office and ensuring it is a safe place to work. Any other duties that may be required within the team and are commensurate with the role.

Take appropriate responsibility to ensure the health and safety of self and others. Pursue the achievement and integration of equal opportunities throughout all activities. Undertake any other tasks and responsibilities appropriate to the level of this post. Comply with all policies and procedures.

Training to be provided



Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship

This Apprenticeship will involve:



Off the job training You will also develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours You need to have an employer to support your Apprenticeship and be employed in a relevant job role The typical length of this Apprenticeship course is 18 months This course has multiple start dates throughout the year
