Level 3 Apprentice Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Standard - Electromechanical

What does the apprenticeship involve?



The apprentice will work with qualified engineers on all principles throughout the apprenticeship. This will involve learning on the job and gaining experience whilst being supervised and monitored by trained and qualified engineers. The apprentice will assist engineers to complete certain tasks and will be given the opportunity to also complete work whilst supervised. Experience will be provided on servicing, call outs, repairs and potentially some modernisation and installation projects.

Upon successfully completing your apprenticeship the options are endless. You could continue to develop your career by choosing to obtain further qualifications, develop and improve your management and leadership skills.

Qualifications on completion of the apprenticeship



As well as gaining a broad range of professional knowledge and experience, you will gain academic and vocational qualifications such as the Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Apprenticeship Standard- Electromechanical Technician. You will also achieve Level 3 NVQ Diploma in modernisation/major and minor repairs and Commissioning of hydraulic and Traction lifts

To succeed, you will need



A minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade 4 to 9 or equivalent,including Maths, English and preferably a Science subject. Strong interpersonal skills, self-starting and motivated attitude with a curiosity to learn. A curiosity and ability to be adaptable to changing business requirements. Ability to absorb information, analyse problems, make fact-based decisions, and propose innovative solutions. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Keen eye for detail with excellent analytical, communication and presentational skills.

Working Week



Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (30min lunch break) This role requires flexibility, as start and finish times will vary based on travel distance and site location. Some early starts and late finishes may be necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: 7.55 per hour

Expected hours: 37 per week

Work Location: In person
