Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Apprentice Lightning Protection Engineer to join our dynamic team.

The applicant must be willing to travel to Bircham Newton Specialist College in Kings Lynn on block release approximately every 12 weeks, paid leave and funded travel in order to achieve an NVQ L2 Lightning Protection Operative qualification.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong ethic for learning new skills and the drive to learn the fundamentals of Lightning Protection Systems.

This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a dynamic hard working team of people, who have a great reputation in the industry.

The successful applicant will contribute to the day to day working of the company, ensuring they meet rigorous quality and performance standards whilst learning the skills of a competent and confident engineer.

This position requires working away from home, so application must be flexible

Duties

Working alongside a qualified engineer to achieve the following skills...

Testing and maintenance of Lightning Protection systems Installation of Lightning Protection Systems to British Standards with quality and enthusiasm to the design provided Create detailed site audits of works completed on site, using the Site Audit Pro App or our personalised software that is currently in design stages Complete remedial works to existing Lightning Protection Systems Travel to and from sites around the UK, will be expected to lodge away from home Work safely at all times Provide a hands on and safe approach to work daily

Experience

No experience necessary as full training will be provided Must be able to problem solve and have a positive attitude to work Have the ability to work safely at all times (training will be given) Have the skill to listen and take instruction with the confidence to ask questions to enhance learning quality Must hold a full clean driving licence

Pay: 28,571.00-33,930.00 per year
