Job Description


As an Apprentice Maintenance Technician at Eakin Healthcare you will assist in maximising product output to meet the company budgeted targets. The role will support realising the targets by maintaining all machinery and equipment to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum and the manufacturing site is able to maintain the high standard of product quality synonymous with the Eakin brand. We will support you in achieving this through practical experience and through the completion of professional qualifications at the nominated regional college.

KEY ACTIVITIES

  • Attendance to the select college fulfilling apprenticeship requirements
  • Completion of all required assignments
  • Successful completion of all exams set by the selected college
  • Work alongside the Maintenance Technicians to:
  • Develop, maintain, and implement planned maintenance schedules and routines for all equipment
  • Ensure all plant and equipment is operationally safe and complies with the relevant legislation
  • Help maintain all records, documentation and literature in compliance with safety, health, environmental and Company quality standards
  • Work in cooperation with maintenance and production teams to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the manufacturing process
  • Involved in maintaining and repairing machines with both a mechanical and electrical bias
  • Working to deadlines whilst maintaining high levels of quality

  • Meet minimum entry requirements set by college
  • A passion for electrical and mechanical engineering

  • Ability to manage own time in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects/assignments whilst completing all relevant studies
  • Enjoys working as part of a team with ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously
  • Willing to undertake additional courses outside of apprenticeship scope if required by the business
