Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Do you want to build a career in public service while gaining valuable digital and business skills? We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join a varied service area, initially working in our Policy and Partnership team as an Apprentice, but with future opportunities to work across the wider remit of People, Policy & Transformation, including, digital, systems, transformation, communications, marketing, and Human Resources.
As an Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, contributing to real projects that shape local policy and community partnerships. From managing digital records and responding to public queries, to supporting meetings and engaging with stakeholders, you will develop a broad skill set that prepares you for a future in public service.
What You Willl Be Doing
& Supporting the team with digital communications, correspondence, and queries
& Updating and maintaining digital systems and manual records
& Assisting with meetings, including preparation, facilitation, and participation
& Visiting sites across the city to support service delivery
& Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
& Committing to your apprenticeship learning and professional development
What We Are Looking For
& GCSEs (Grades A*-C / 4-8) in English and Maths
& Strong digital and ICT skills
& Good communication and listening abilities
& A team player with a professional and flexible approach
& A commitment to confidentiality, learning, and personal growth
& No formal experience required just a genuine interest in public service and digital skills
