Responsibilities

Assist with the supervision and care of children in accordance with nursery policies and procedures Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and socialisation Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children at all times Engage with children through play, conversation, and educational activities to encourage their curiosity and development Support the team with daily routines such as meal times, nappy changing, and outdoor play Maintain effective communication with colleagues, parents, and guardians regarding children's progress and wellbeing Participate in ongoing training programmes to develop knowledge of early childhood education and childcare best practices Assist in managing nursery resources efficiently and responsibly

Qualifications

Experience with children or in childcare settings is desirable but not essential; a genuine interest in early childhood education is required Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written Ability to work effectively as part of a team with management and leadership qualities Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting children or attending external activities Previous nursery experience or qualifications related to early childhood education will be considered an asset A proactive attitude towards learning and professional growth within the childcare sector
