Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education and eager to develop their skills in a nurturing environment. As an Apprentice, you will work closely with experienced practitioners, gaining hands-on experience in providing quality care and education to children in a nursery setting.

Duties

Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote children's development across all areas of learning. Support the daily care routines of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Communicate effectively with children, fostering positive relationships and encouraging their social skills. Help manage classroom behaviour by implementing strategies that promote a positive learning environment. Participate in observations and assessments of children's progress, contributing to individual learning plans. Collaborate with colleagues to create a stimulating nursery environment that supports children's exploration and creativity. Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's activities and overall educational offerings. Attend training sessions and workshops to further develop your knowledge in childcare practices.

Qualifications

A genuine interest in early childhood education and a desire to pursue a career in childcare. Previous experience working with children is advantageous but not essential. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. Leadership qualities that demonstrate the ability to inspire and motivate others within the nursery setting. A good command of English, both written and verbal, is essential for effective communication. A willingness to learn and adapt within a dynamic nursery environment. A valid driving licence would be beneficial for transporting materials or resources as needed.

Pay: 7.55-8.55 per hour
