We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. This paid apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity to develop foundational skills in childcare while gaining practical experience working with children. The role is ideal for individuals passionate about nurturing young minds and pursuing a career in early years education. The successful candidate will support daily nursery activities, assist with child development, and learn from experienced practitioners in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with the supervision and care of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development Help maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating nursery environment Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster positive relationships Support behaviour management strategies in line with nursery policies Assist with daily routines such as mealtimes, nappy changing, and outdoor play Contribute to the organisation of educational resources and materials Follow all health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe environment for children and staff

Experience

Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential; a genuine interest in childcare is required Knowledge of early childhood education principles is advantageous Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues Experience with nursery environments or childcare settings will be considered an asset

The hours of work will be 8am-2pm mon-fri

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 8.00 per hour
