We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant team here in Knaresborough. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education and looking to gain hands-on experience in a nurturing environment. As an Apprentice, you will support the daily activities of the nursery while developing your skills.
This position is for a minimum of 30 hours per week to be able to undertake an apprenticeship through Realise Training.
Duties
Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging educational activities for children aged 0-5 years.
Support the lead practitioners in maintaining a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children.
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their development through play and interaction.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving nursery practices.
Help manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and outdoor play.
Maintain accurate records of children's development and attendance as required.
Qualifications
Previous experience with children or in a nursery setting is desirable but not essential.
A keen interest in early childhood education and a desire to learn about childcare practices.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to demonstrate management and leadership qualities within a team setting.
A valid driving licence is advantageous as we are in a rural location and public transport is infrequent.
