We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who have a keen interest in early childhood education and wish to gain hands-on experience in a nurturing nursery environment. As an Apprentice, you will work closely with experienced practitioners, contributing to the development and care of children while enhancing your skills in childcare.
Duties
Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote children's learning and development.
Support the daily care routines of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive nursery environment.
Help manage classroom behaviour by implementing strategies that encourage positive interactions among children.
Maintain a clean and organised nursery space, ensuring all equipment and resources are safe and accessible.
Participate in regular training sessions to enhance your knowledge of early childhood education practices.
Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the nursery setting.
Qualifications
Experience working with children is desirable but not essential; enthusiasm for childcare is key.
A background or qualification in Early Childhood Education would be advantageous.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children and families.
Demonstrated leadership qualities to inspire confidence among peers and children alike.
Ability to manage tasks efficiently while maintaining a calm demeanour in a busy environment.
A valid driving licence may be beneficial for transporting materials or attending off-site activities.
