Requirements:
We are looking for candidates willing to pursue an apprenticeship to achieve an NVQ Level 2 equivalent in Pharmacy Services.
Training will be provided by Buttercups.
The sequence of teaching and learning is planned to provide a knowledge and skills framework to build progressive steps from induction to module endpoints and apprenticeship standard end point assessment.
The apprenticeship aims to build an increasing body of knowledge that enables learners to perform increasingly complex skills in assisting in the management of medicines, including dispensing and supply, whilst keeping the patient's best interests and safety at the forefront of their pharmacy practice.
Ideal candidates should possess outstanding communication skills and a proven record of delivering exceptional customer service.
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday 9am to 1pm, 2pm to 6pm (1 hour lunch)

Starting salary: 8 per hour

Duties and responsibilities will include:
Follow till processes including sales of over-the-counter medication, pharmacy merchandise and collecting necessary charges
Adhering to the sale of medicines protocol, utilising the WWHAM questioning technique to provide advice on medication use, general health, and lifestyle matters
Receiving and distributing prescriptions under the supervision of the Responsible Pharmacist
Creating and maintaining patient medication records with a commitment to data protection principles to ensure patient confidentiality.
Labelling, dispensing, and endorsing prescriptions following standard operating procedures to ensure safe and accurate supply to patients
Ordering enough medication and stock in line with company procedures to meet customer demand and date/usage checking to maximise availability and minimise waste.
Assisting where necessary with the preparation of monitored dosage systems to benefit patients on multiple medication regimes.
Checking endorsements and patient declarations on prescriptions and file correctly to ensure maximum payments are received with minimal losses.
Processing invoices and paperwork in a timely manner following company procedures.
Undertaking necessary housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the dispensary and back-shop areas
Working as part of a team and actively demonstrate a willingness to support and achieve the overall business objectives
Participating in the delivery of any additional services (stop smoking advice, blood pressure testing etc) for which you will have received adequate training
