Job Description


We\'re looking for an Apprentice Plant Mechanic to join us and complete an apprenticeship in Mechatronics. You\'ll combine classroom learning and on-the-job experience to gain new skills, grow your confidence and become a vital part of the team. With the help and support of your colleagues, mentors, and managers, you\'ll learn how to maintain and repair our mechanical equipment, both in our workshops and out on-site, servicing and maintaining our telematics and data acquisition systems, troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and engine problems.

Your manager will work closely with you to build a personalised training programme, giving you the opportunity to work on a wide variety of tasks and projects, so you gain experience, learn from people across the business and start to work independently.

The role is based in our workshop in Burscough with travel to UK sites as required. College Study is on a block release basis.

Profile

You don\'t need any prior experience to join us, but you will need at least GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C, plus a proactive attitude to learning and a passion for fixing things. In addition, basic IT knowledge and skills are required as well as the ability to communicate effectively.
