Job Overview

We are seeking an apprentice Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering techniques and be proficient in using various tools and equipment. As a Plasterer, you will be responsible for applying plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces to create a smooth finish. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Learn how to Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, smoothing, and repairing as necessary. Learn how to mix plaster and render ingredients according to specifications for optimal consistency and application. Learn to Apply plaster using hand tools and power tools to achieve a uniform finish on various surfaces. Work with other tradespeople such as carpenters, bricklayers, and masons to ensure seamless integration of plasterwork with other construction elements. Learn to Conduct repairs on existing plasterwork, including patching and re-surfacing damaged areas. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety standards are adhered to at all times. Follow health and safety regulations while working on-site, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Ability to work at heights or on roofs when required. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. Good physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks. Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 9.00-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
