Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team as an apprentice providing a safe and engaging environment for children to learn and play. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education, ensuring that all activities are tailored to the developmental needs of the children in our care. This role requires effective communication skills in English, as well as the ability to manage a diverse group of children. An SVQ3 is the qualification that will be attained and a secure position at the end of the apprenticeship.

Responsibilities



Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement creative play activities that promote learning and development in line with early childhood education principles. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive community atmosphere. Manage behaviour in a positive manner, encouraging cooperation and respect among children. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the play area, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use. Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the play environment. Collaborate with other staff members to create a nurturing atmosphere that supports children's social, emotional, and physical development.

Experience



Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to manage groups of children effectively. Strong communication skills in English, enabling clear interaction with children and adults alike. A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their development through play-based learning activities.
