L&Q are looking for an apprentice who would like to develop their career in Quantity Surveying. They will help to be responsible for the financial and contractual administration of projects carried out by L&Q, ensuring that general quantity surveying duties are performed to the highest standard whilst supporting the team to ensure full contractual and monetary entitlement for L&Q.
The apprenticeship learning will support your development and chosen career path. Whilst undertaking your learning programme, your manager will help guide your development and day-to-day work, a mentor will provide extra support throughout your role, and you'll be working alongside experienced colleagues to learn hands-on, work-based skills.
The Apprentice Quantity Surveyor will learn to contribute to business performance and customer service delivery whilst operating in line with L&Q's values. They will ensure business interests are maintained through contract and sub-contracts and will develop skills to build relationships with all colleagues, stakeholders and contractors. Additionally, they will seek authorisation for spend up to agreed levels whilst maintaining L&Q's Health & Safety procedures are adhered to.
We are looking for someone with:
Minimum 2 x A Levels grade D or above or
BTEC National Diploma with minimum grades of pass or above or
Access to Higher Education Diploma with 21 Merits or
Level 3 Apprenticeship in related subject. - essential
Minimum of 5 GCSE's including Maths and English (grade C / grade 4) or above. - essential
An enthusiasm for the role and L&Q
Strong analytical skills
Good communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
Ability to work independently, as well as being a good team player
Good organisational skills and ability to manage/prioritise own workload
Good problem-solving skills
Willingness to learn, grow and a positive attitude to work.
We are a multi-site organisation, so some roles may require occasional travel between offices, but expenses will be covered.
Apprenticeship details:
Level 4 Construction Quantity Surveying Technician at London Southbank University (LSBU)
NB: To qualify for apprenticeship funding, the individual must have a valid and eligible residency status. This requires residency in the UK for at least 3 years prior to the start of the apprenticeship.
