Your Impact




We're looking for an enthusiastic

Apprentice Security Technician

to join our

UK HOP

Team. This is a

site-based role

, where you'll learn to apply industry standards and best practices in security systems integration. You'll work alongside experienced professionals to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of our clients' security systems, gaining valuable hands-on experience and developing a career in the security industry.

What You'll Do




In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

Performing regular checks and maintenance on all security systems across the estate (access control, CCTV, etc.). Identifying and resolving issues with security equipment promptly to minimise downtime and maintain overall system performance. Assisting with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems. Collaborating with senior technicians and other departments to plan equipment orders and engineering works. Keeping security software and firmware up to date to ensure protection against vulnerabilities. Gaining proficiency in programming and configuring security system components.

What You'll Bring




To succeed in this role, you'll need:

English and Maths GCSEs (preferred). A strong interest in security systems technology and a willingness to learn. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication and time management skills. A proactive, self-motivated attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Access control and/or CCTV qualifications or experience are an advantage but not essential.

Requirements:



Eligibility to enrol in a 3-year security systems apprenticeship program. Ability to gain security clearance for government sites.
