As part of the apprenticeship, you will gain hands-on experience across all aspects of residential and commercial property law, working alongside experienced solicitors and conveyancers while completing your academic studies towards a law degree (LLB) and the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE).
Key Responsibilities
Support solicitors in managing residential and commercial property transactions from instruction through to completion.
Assist with drafting contracts, transfer deeds, leases, and completion statements.
Carry out searches, review title documents, and help prepare reports on title.
Communicate with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors.
Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with regulatory and anti-money laundering procedures.
Undertake legal research and contribute to client briefings and internal knowledge sharing.
Attend training sessions, client meetings, and property completions under supervision.
Progressively take on more responsibility as your knowledge and confidence grow.
Training and Development
You will complete the
Solicitor Apprenticeship
-- a structured 5-6 year programme combining full-time paid work with part-time study (typically one day per week).
Study leads to an
LLB in Legal Practice
and completion of
SQE 1 and SQE 2
, resulting in qualification as a
Solicitor of England and Wales
.
All tuition fees are covered by the firm and the apprenticeship levy, meaning there are
no student debts

You'll receive mentoring, supervision, and ongoing professional development throughout the apprenticeship.
Person Specification
Essential:
Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above (including English and Maths).
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Interest in property law and the conveyancing process.
A proactive, professional, and client-focused attitude.
Desirable:
Previous experience or work placement in a law firm, estate agency, or property-related role.
Understanding of land registration and property transaction stages.
Competence in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
