Apprentice Course Options; Level 2 Community Activator, Level 3 Community Sport, Level 4 Sports Coach, Level 1 in Coaching Sport and other coaching and industry-based qualifications.

Main Duties and Responsibilities



As an Apprentice Sports Coach, you'll work alongside experienced coaches while studying towards a

recognised sports coaching apprenticeship qualification

. You'll gain hands-on experience delivering sessions in schools and at events, building confidence and professional skills along the way.

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting and delivering

primary school PE sessions

Assisting with after-school clubs, holiday camps and events Learning how to plan engaging, inclusive and safe sessions Building positive relationships with children, schools and colleagues Developing coaching, communication and leadership skills Representing WR Sports in a professional and enthusiastic manner
As you progress, you'll be supported to take on more responsibility and lead sessions independently.

Experience and Quals:



Essential:



A genuine passion for

sport, physical activity, and working with children

Enthusiastic, reliable, and willing to learn Good communication skills and ability to work in a

team environment

Willingness to undertake an

apprenticeship qualification

Commitment to

safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Willingness to complete an

enhanced DBS check

Flexible and adaptable, able to work in schools and at events Basic first aid qualification, or willingness to obtain one Previous experience working or volunteering with children (clubs, coaching, schools, etc.) GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in

English and Maths


Desirable:



Interest in pursuing a career in

sports coaching, PE teaching, or physical activity leadership

Experience helping to

run events, after-school clubs, or holiday camps

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Job Type: Apprenticeship

Pay: 10,000.00-12,500.00 per year

Work Location: In person
