The Role

We are looking for an

Apprentice Primary School Coach

to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in sports coaching, gaining experience, qualifications, and on-the-job training while supporting our coaching staff in delivering high-quality PE and sports sessions.

As an apprentice, you'll work under the guidance of our experienced coaches and gradually develop the skills and confidence to deliver sessions yourself.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the delivery of PE lessons and extra-curricular activities. Assisting coaches to run fun, safe, and engaging physical activity sessions. Helping set up and pack away equipment and resources. Supporting staff and pupils during lessons and clubs. Attending staff meetings, training sessions, and workshops. Completing assigned coursework and apprenticeship learning tasks.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

Is passionate about sport, physical activity, and working with children. Has good communication and interpersonal skills. Is reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic. Can follow instructions and work as part of a team. Is eager to learn and develop coaching skills. Is organised and willing to take on new challenges.

Essential Requirements

A commitment to completing the apprenticeship qualification. A willingness to work towards First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications (provided as part of the apprenticeship). Full driving licence and access to transport desirable but not essential. This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
