The Role:



We are looking to take on a self-motivated person to support our Store Supervisor in the day to day running of our store's operations. This role has significant opportunity for career growth. The ideal candidate must have a clean driving license and a good grasp of technology/IT systems.

Training on Offer:



The successful candidate will be enrolled on a

1-year SVQ in Warehousing & Storage apprenticeship scheme with our training partner. This will be blended learning between our site and our training partner. On completion of this you will be enrolled on a forklift driving course to enable use of our store forklift.

During this first year you will be expected to learn how to carry out the following.

The care and maintenance of all equipment where they are deemed competent to carry out this maintenance. Preparing and booking out equipment for works with chargehands/ supervisors' assistance using our store IT system. Checking equipment back into stores. Collection & delivery of goods as required. Maintaining stock levels of PPE and consumables. Housekeeping - maintain cleanliness and good order within the store. Managing items in quarantine and reporting defects to management. Maintaining electronic records of all maintenance and inspection carried out. Receiving & Inspecting goods into store, checking for any defect and storing correctly. Washing of vehicles and maintaining cleanliness. Health & Safety knowledge/training relevant to our industry. Any other related duties as the arise, within your capability.

Merkland offer a market competitive benefits package: We are a living wage employer and pay will be in line with this, with overtime at time & half. Core hours for this position are 0700 - 1530 Monday to Thursday and 0700 - 1430 Friday Holiday Entitlement: 25 days plus public holidays Company funded uniform Investment in your personal development which includes company funded qualifications and certifications.
