At Ormiston Forge Academy, we are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join our Success for Learning team.


As an Apprentice Teaching Assistant, the successful candidate will work closely with students who require additional support, both in the classroom and within our Success Centre. You will play a vital role in helping students achieve their potential by:

Supporting teaching and learning for individuals or small groups Assisting with classroom delivery and interventions Monitoring student progress and behaviour Supporting reintegration and behaviour plans Building strong, trusting relationships with students, staff, and families

Your work will be guided by the SENCO and Success Centre Leadersand will be delivered across a variety of settings, including mainstream classes, withdrawal sessions, and learning hubs.


As an Apprentice, you will work towards the Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification via our apprenticeship provider, Let Me Play. Further details regarding the qualification are attached. The position is fixed term for the duration of the apprenticeship, which should take 18 months.


The position requires the postholder to work 30 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks).

Qualifications required:

To be considered for the post you must have achieved a minimum of GCSE Grade A to C / Grade 4 or above in maths and English and be prepared to undertake apprenticeship training.
