Apprentice Teaching Assistant
Contract Term: Apprenticeship
Grade: Apprenticeship Off Scale
Hours: 32.5 Weeks: 39

Start Date: 1st September 2023
Closing Date: 13th July 2023

St Christopher\xe2\x80\x99s have just opened the brand-new primary school, with the secondary site now being converted, due to be finished in September 2024. As a result, the school will be increasing its capacity from 226 to 333 pupils over the next two years.

As the school expands, we are looking for candidates who are resilient, positive, and professional.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced staff and learn the skills required to work with children by shadowing and supporting, enhancing your sport delivery techniques and knowledge.

Purpose

  • To work with individual children that have an EHCP as directed by the Teacher.
  • To provide support to the Teacher across a range of child centred activities to promote child development, ensure health, allow learning and improve outcomes.

  • Confident in building and maintaining appropriate relationships with children.
  • Able to engage young minds.
  • Able to follow instructions and complete tasks in set time limits.
  • Trustworthy with confidential information.
  • Genuine interest in PE, sport, and physical activity.
This is a Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship and will be delivered by LAGAT.

Entry Requirements:

Level 2: GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C/4 or above in English & Maths \xe2\x80\x93 Desirable.
