and build a long-term career in engineering within the powered access industry. This is a hands-on role where you'll learn from experienced engineers and gain practical skills in a busy depot environment, with the opportunity to progress into a qualified engineer position.
What you'll be doing
Assisting engineers with pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and basic maintenance checks
Learning safe workshop practices and correct use of tools
Supporting with basic fault-finding and repairs under supervision
Helping prepare equipment for hire and ensuring it meets safety standards
Cleaning machines and completing basic presentation checks before/after hire
Loading/unloading machines and equipment safely
Assisting with yard duties, keeping the yard and workshop clean and tidy
What we're looking for
A genuine interest in mechanical/electrical engineering (or similar hands-on work)
Reliable, punctual, and keen to learn
Comfortable working as part of a team and following health & safety procedures
4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above
Monday to Friday (daytime hours)
Pay: Dependent on age of applicant (apprenticeship rates + progression)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship
Pay: From 8.00 per hour
