Key Responsibilities




Pass your Apprenticeship with flying colours! Complete all your coursework, off the job training and work shadowing to the best of your ability. Carry out Apprentice duties and support the team wherever possible.

As a Trainee Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA), you'll learn how to inspect damaged vehicles, prepare accurate repair estimates, and liaise with customers and insurers. You'll be mentored by experienced professionals and supported through industry-recognised training. You will be learning how to:

Assess vehicle damage and preparing repair estimates Use estimating software and manufacturer repair methods Communicate with customers, insurers, and Technicians Maintain accurate records and documentation Uphold our high standards of customer service and professionalism

Essential Skills and Qualifications




4 GCSE grades of Level 4 or above are required for this role Having a full UK driving licence would be great, but commitment to gaining one during your apprenticeship is essential if you don't have one yet! A genuine interest in automotive repair and prestige vehicles Strong attention to detail with a willingness to learn new skills Good communication and teamwork abilities Basic IT skills Positive, motivated attitude with a focus on personal development

Working at Swindon Bodyshop





In 2013, our Bodyshop moved to a new purpose-built location in Swindon. The location in Athena Avenue can be accessed from Junction 16 or 15 of the M4 motorway and is commutable from Wroughton, Devizes, and Royal Wootton Bassett. Dick Lovett Swindon are an official Porsche Bodyshop Repairer and work on all brands we represent including Ferrari, BMW, and MINI.


Providing Bodyshop services from full accident repairs to minor bumps, our team is reliable and trustworthy. Our skilled Paint Technicians specialise in paintwork scuffs to full body resprays, all with the customer at the forefront of their mind. We repair and paint vehicles across the South West of England and also have a dedicated Tyre and Wheel repair centre in Swindon.
