Apprentice Warehouse Operative

This new and exciting role will support the continued expansion of our warehousing facilities and is required to meet growing market demand and enable our customers to help their patients.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual who is willing to learn new skills and have a positive, pro-active approach.

Key responsibilities:

Basic understanding of the facilities inventory control system (SAP) to carryout warehouse activities

Use of handheld scanning devices to enable / improve stock location efficiency

To operate all forklift trucks (counterbalance / reach / pedestrian) and mechanical handling equipment in a safe and responsible manner, attend periodic refresher training courses provided by the business.

Ensure compliance with company SOPs, GMP and EH&S policies.

Material goods receipt processes.

. Record all inventory data transactions in an accurate and timely manner both electronically (SAP) & manual entries, always adhering to GMP practices.

Material handling unit process, including HU creation, label generation through to label application

Location and retrieval of materials, packaging, and non-GMP items as required from the static racking

Stock control activities to include periodic stock counts

Replenishment of consumable stock for production

To ensure warehouse areas are kept clean, tidy and free of hazards in all areas at all times, adhering to the principle of Good Manufacturing Practice, and Health and safety guidelines.

Proactive team participation in strategic planning / continuous improvement for warehouse related activities

To attend relevant training and development courses as required and maintain a relevant portfolio of personal training and task competency

To carry out any other tasks or general warehouse duties as required from time to time to maintain the warehouse operation effectiveness

Key requirements:

o Required to work in a Regulated environment

o High attention to detail

Computer skills:

Must be competent in the use of MS Office,

Literacy and Numeracy:

Nat 5 English & Maths

Job Type:



Full time, 37.5 hours 08.30-16.30 Monday - Friday
