Apprenticeship Sales Coordinator

Plymouth, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

So you are a salesperson?

But what if you are not selling a product or a thing. It's closer to a service... but then again, not really.

What if what you are offering is the opportunity for a workplace to nurture and progress an apprentice. The opportunity for someone to have a better life. They might not have thrived in a traditional classroom, but they are intelligent, motivated and desperate to do well. They want to contribute positively to their families, their communities and the organisations they work for.

So what if you are not really selling at all. What if you are simply having meaningful conversations with employers and building genuine working relationships. Because that is what we need. People who understand that people buy from people. People who care about connection, trust and doing the right thing.

The best bit is that employers gain valuable talent while also playing a part in shaping a young person's future. It is labour with purpose. Business growth with heart.

And yes, if you are good at what you do, we have a motivating bonus scheme in place to reward your success. That comes alongside a genuinely inclusive workplace that is currently undergoing an exciting brand update. This is a brilliant time to join us.

You will be motivated. You will want to own your development. And you will love speaking with some of the very best employers across the South West.

What this role is really about

As an Employer Engagement Coordinator at Greenlight, you will be at the centre of our growth. Your role is to understand the construction market, build strong employer relationships and ensure a steady flow of apprenticeship opportunities for our learners. Every conversation you have has the potential to open a door for someone at the very start of their career.

You will be responsible for generating new business through outbound calls and proactive engagement, identifying opportunities, opening vacancies and supporting employers through the recruitment and onboarding process. You will work towards clear targets and KPIs, ensuring that opportunities are created consistently and that employers receive an exceptional level of service throughout.

Organisation will be key. You will process course bids, organise cohorts, liaise closely with employers and collaborate with our curriculum teams to ensure the right learners are placed in the right roles at the right time. You will develop a strong understanding of apprenticeship funding rules and apprentice's learner journey, whilst ensuring all employers understand their responsibilities within all apprenticeship programmes.

This is a fast paced role that suits someone who thrives on momentum, enjoys talking to people and takes pride in delivering results. You will be trusted to manage your time effectively, contribute ideas and take ownership of your performance.

What you will bring

You will have a good standard of education and experience in telesales or face to face sales, with a proven ability to work towards and exceed targets. You will be ambitious, driven and motivated by achievement, but also grounded in strong values. Your communication skills will be excellent, both written and verbal, and you will be confident engaging with employers at all levels.

You will be comfortable using Microsoft Office and general IT systems and able to adapt quickly in a busy and varied environment. If you have experience in construction, education or a similar sector, that is a bonus, but not essential. What matters most is your attitude, your energy and your ability to build trust through conversation.

What we offer

This is a full time role within a growing, supportive organisation that genuinely believes in the impact of apprenticeships. Alongside your salary, you will have access to a bonus scheme that rewards additional apprenticeship enrolments above the monthly minimum.

You will be part of a team that values inclusion, collaboration and development, with opportunities to enhance your skills through training and ongoing support. Most importantly, you will go home knowing that your work is helping to change lives, strengthen businesses and shape the future workforce.

If you are ready for a role where sales means purpose, conversations matter and success is measured in more than numbers, we would love to hear from you.

Why this could be your next great move

At Greenlight, you will be joining a supportive team that shares your passion for high quality training. You will have access to continuous professional development, opportunities to progress and the space to grow your expertise. You will be part of a collaborative culture where curiosity is encouraged, quality matters and every member of the team plays a key role in our success.

Our commitment to safeguarding (The compliant bit!)

Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners, including those who are young and vulnerable, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Greenlight Training Ltd has a clear safer recruitment and safeguarding policy and we will make the appropriate DBS checks and seek to acquire at least two references prior to any offer of employment. All applicants must complete an application form provided, if invited to, regardless of how they applied.

The ins and outs for complete clarity (HR told us we had to!)
