The Apprentice role is a developmental position within the commercial vehicle Braking Systems Division. During the apprenticeship you will work 5 days per week, inclusive of 1 day per week for study at college. The working hours are 37 hours per week. On completion of this apprenticeship, you will obtain a NVQ level 3 qualification.
For the job role on offer, the first-year training will be based on level 2 eal NVQ General Engineering practices.
After completion of the first year the successful applicants will complete the remainder of their training based on level 3 eal NVQ specialist areas relevant to their individual job role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Have direct Interface with key Customers and Suppliers
Enhancing Customer and Supplier relationships
Ensure on Time Customer and Supplier Delivery.
Monitoring status of Supplier Schedules & release to supplier base
Use Inventory Monitoring Methods, Tracking and Impacts on the business performance
Be able to gain Key Performance Indicators and Tracking
QUALIFICATIONS
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Essential - 5 GCSEs grade A to C. This must include a B, or above, in Maths and at least C in Science and English Language (or Welsh as a first language) Ability to take ownership of the working environment
Be able to naturally maintain an infectious positive attitude
Feel passion towards their work/Engineering, be driven and self-motivated
Show the ability to be able to make confident decisions in a working environment
