To support a range of programmes and contribute to the curriculum development as agreed with the Director of Apprenticeships & Vice Principal for Apprenticeships & Future Skills.

Monitor, review and evaluate the quality of assessment processes and practice and ensure awarding body standards are maintained for Apprenticeships and the Employer Responsive Provision.

Monitor the quality of tutor performance, identify development needs and facilitate development to maintain and improve the quality of assessment and courses.

To work alongside the Apprenticeship Managers and Data & Compliance Manager to support staff development and develop a training programme.###

Key Responsibilities





To support on a wide range of flexible learning and short courses (Adult Skills Funding), in line with the college and curriculum area specifications Carry out internal quality assurance activities including observations and sampling, providing the relevant paperwork and record keeping in full compliance with college and the relevant awarding body requirements Participate in the development and planning of a range of standards, courses within employer services provision Collaborate closely with Small & Medium Employers and large Levy-paying employers to support workforce development and to ensure qualifications and training meet industry needs Develop and review qualifications and accreditation requirements from relevant Awarding Bodies and support the approval process of new qualifications Support the development and enhancement of the Apprenticeship+ program to design & develop schemes of work, resources and materials Support and mentor tutors in regular standardisation meetings and countersigning decisions. Providing timely feedback on assessment decisions Provide ongoing training and professional development for Work-Based Tutors through monthly training sessions and 1:1 coaching Lead the Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) activities across Apprenticeship, ASF and Flexible Learning departments Ensure delivery plans meet the requirements of the apprenticeship frameworks and standards Prepare and facilitate External Quality Assurance (EQA) visits alongside the Quality team, ensuring all standards and practices meet external body expectations Provide regular feedback to tutors on assessment practices and learning delivery, ensuring high-quality provision and Act on feedback from teaching observations, employers, peers or other review processes Monitoring and supporting the learner journey including: initial assessment, induction, the quality and frequency of reviews and completion of the 20% off the job requirements, including employer delivery Agree and record sampling plans, complying with quality, confidentiality and data protection requirements Plan and deliver CPD training sessions to meet the needs of the apprenticeship team and the end point assessment Undertake necessary CPD to professionally develop and keep abreast with current practices and legislation within the sector To provide reports for the Director of Apprenticeships in the quality calendar and strategy To perform any other duties consistent with this position as may from time to time be assigned to you within HHC

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise



Qualifications



Essential Criteria

Teaching Qualification or willingness to work towards. Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance qualification


Desirable Criteria

Holds a teaching qualification, at least a Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS). Strong experience of working with employers, particularly in apprenticeships or workforce training. Experience in curriculum development and supporting the approval process of qualifications.

Intermediate level of Microsoft applications particularly word and PowerPoint. Willing to undertake IT training relevant to their role.


Desirable Criteria

Knowledge of software packages such as Promonitor and student record systems. Familiar with using VLE's and E Learning packages including OneFile and Maytas.
