Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced

Approved Electrician

to join our electrical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and testing electrical systems to the highest safety and quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of current electrical regulations, excellent fault-finding skills, and the ability to lead small teams or work independently on various commercial, industrial, or domestic projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671). Perform electrical inspections and testing, including completion of Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs) and other relevant documentation. Interpret technical drawings and specifications. Lead or supervise junior electricians or apprentices as required. Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies. Liaise with clients, contractors, and other trades to coordinate electrical work. Maintain a high standard of workmanship and customer service.

Requirements:

Fully qualified electrician with an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent. City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing). 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671). ECS Gold Card (Approved Electrician status). Full UK driving license. Proven experience working as an approved electrician in commercial, industrial, or domestic settings. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Computer Literate

Desirable:

IPAF / PASMA / SSSTS certification. Experience with renewable energy systems (e.g., solar PV, EV chargers). Experience in working on large-scale construction or maintenance projects.
