Role Description

Teaching (and assistant teaching) of Arabic literacy and general subjects using Arabic language across assigned classes together with associated preparation and correction.

Contributing towards developing the school's Arabic curriculum

Promoting and safeguarding the health, welfare and safety of pupils

Working in partnership with parents, school and other professionals

Undertaking appropriate and agreed continuing professional development

Participating in issues related to Arabic school planning, raising achievement and individual review;

Establish good working relationships with all staff and to liaise with them as necessary.

Play a full part in the life of the School and carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Headteacher

Person Specification

Proven teaching (or teaching assistant) experience, especially working with Primary aged children.

Excellent communication skills. Good command of Arabic (speaking/writing) is required. Good English language skills.

The ability to teach with enthusiasm, in order to motivate pupils to be interested in, and committed to their work.

Proven ability to promote strong, positive ethos and maintain high standards of behaviour and levels of attainment and achievement across the classroom.

Understanding of current safeguarding, child protection issues and legislation.
