The role sits within and is supported by our 13 strong team of Arboricultural consultants, working alongside colleagues based in Warwickshire and Leicestershire. You will have the opportunity to provide support to and further your career in all aspects of private sector Arboricultural consultancy. The role will include the undertaking of BS 5837 surveys, risk assessments and population management, with the opportunity to promote and develop these services. You will produce a suite of written, and CAD based reports for projects that are helping shape the UK's housing, road, rail and energy infrastructure. You will also be involved in veteran tree, historic landscape and tree population management. You will take an active role in helping expand TEP's current Arboricultural offering to new clients, as well as exploring new avenues of work and service development. You will be part of a collaborative team who seek to improve the standard of tree care and promotion through our work and activity. Our office is in Market Harborough (near Leicester) but we would be open to discussing alternative working arrangements, as well as the opportunity to visit TEP's other offices as project, social events or training priorities dictate.
What we're looking for
We are looking for an experienced arboriculturist to help deliver our existing work in the Midlands and contribute to our ambition for growth in the region. We are seeking a committed professional who can demonstrate the application of BS 5837 and tree risk assessment and who takes a pro-active and positive approach to project leadership. We need someone who is versatile and experienced in collaborating with a range of other professionals; someone who enjoys developing professional relationships with clients, acting as the day-to-day contact, and trusted to deliver high quality work.
Who You'll Be Working With
TEP provides a wide range of services to public, private and charity sector clients. We also sit on framework panels for the Royal Parks, Natural England, Anglian Water and Severn rent Water. You can expect to be involved with projects of varying size or complexity; from domestic tree inspections and tree hazard evaluation up garden villages and national infrastructure projects. In the last 12 months we have undertaken volume work for The Land Trust, Forestry Commission, Crystal Palace Park, English Heritage, volume housing builders and Yorkshire Sculpture Park. We are also working to produce strategic tree management documents for Preston Council and Natural England.
