Overview

We are seeking a skilled Arborist to join our team, dedicated to the care and maintenance of trees and landscapes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in horticulture and landscape maintenance, demonstrating proficiency with various hand and power tools. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate woodchippers etc. As an Arborist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the beauty and health of our environment while ensuring safety and sustainability.

Responsibilities

Perform tree pruning, trimming, and removal as necessary, utilising appropriate techniques to promote healthy growth. Maintain landscapes through effective gardening practices, including planting, fertilising, and irrigation management. Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators for various landscaping tasks. Carry out routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards. Collaborate with team members on construction projects related to landscape design and implementation. Educate clients on tree care practices and landscape maintenance strategies to enhance their outdoor spaces.

Qualifications

Proven experience in landscape maintenance or a related field is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools and power tools safely. Familiarity with horticulture principles, including plant identification and care techniques. Experience in gardening practices that promote healthy plant growth is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills for client interactions and teamwork collaboration.
