Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated tree climber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and landscape maintenance, with a strong understanding of tree care practices. This role requires proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools, as well as mechanical knowledge to perform tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

Assess the health and condition of trees to determine necessary care or intervention. Perform tree pruning, trimming, and felling as required to maintain tree health and safety. Dig, build, and maintain planting areas while ensuring proper irrigation systems are in place. Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for various landscaping tasks. Carry out groundskeeping duties to enhance the overall appearance of outdoor spaces. Collaborate with team members to execute landscape maintenance projects efficiently. Educate clients on tree care best practices and provide recommendations for ongoing maintenance.

Requirements

Proven experience in tree surgery or a related field is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge to operate equipment safely and effectively. Familiarity with various power tools and hand tools used in landscaping and gardening tasks. Ability to dig, build, maintain, and irrigate planting areas as part of landscape management. Excellent physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour in outdoor environments. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of work quality. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation to job sites.

Pay: 22,880.00-41,813.62 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week
