Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Architect/Architectural Designer to join our dynamic design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing architectural concepts, preparing detailed drawings, and overseeing project execution from inception to completion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilising advanced design software and collaborating with clients and contractors to deliver exceptional architectural solutions with freedom to design.
Duties
Develop comprehensive architectural designs and detailed plans using software such as AutoCAD.
Create 3D visualisations and models employing tools like SketchUp.
Prepare construction documentation, including joinery details and technical specifications.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and consultants through negotiation and effective communication to ensure project requirements are met.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources employing project management principles.
Conduct site visits to oversee construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
Utilise Adobe Creative Suite for presentation boards, marketing materials, and visualisations.
Collaborate on innovative design solutions using Sketch and other modelling tools.
Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards throughout all phases of the project.
Qualifications
Proven experience in architectural design with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise across various project types.
Proficiency in industry-standard software.
Strong knowledge of current UK building regulations.
Strong understanding of construction processes and joinery techniques.
Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Knowledge of project management methodologies to coordinate multiple projects efficiently.
Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and visualisations that meet client expectations.
Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Architecture or a related field recognised by professional bodies.
