Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Architect to join our clients established architectural practice. You will be working within a collaborative studio environment that places good quality design, careful detailing, and thoughtful problem-solving at the heart of every project.
Their approach is practical and flexible, balancing strong design intent with a common-sense understanding of the realities of design development and construction. The majority of their work is residential, ranging from bespoke private homes to larger residential schemes, with a significant portion of projects involving listed buildings and conservation work.
The Role
Deliver high-quality architectural design from concept through to completion
Work on predominantly residential projects, including listed and conservation schemes
Prepare and coordinate detailed drawings and technical information
Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities
Contribute positively to design discussions and problem-solving during design and construction stages
About You
ARB-registered Architect with proven post-qualification experience
Strong design ability with an excellent eye for detail
Experience in residential architecture is essential
Knowledge of listed buildings and conservation projects is highly desirable
Sound technical knowledge and understanding of UK building regulations
Practical, proactive, and solution-focused approach
Confident communicator, able to work independently and as part of a team
