The Opportunity



We are looking for an experienced Architect to join our team in Swindon, supporting the design and delivery of technically demanding facilities where precision, compliance, and innovation are key. The role is client focused and you must have the ability to design within the stakeholder budgets.

You will be responsible for the design and coordination of specialist facilities including cleanrooms, laboratories, and other controlled environments. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, and you will bring technically complex projects to life from concept through to completion. This role combines creative problem-solving with strict regulatory and technical requirements -- ideal for an architect who thrives in high-spec environments and is a solution focused and commercially aware designer.

What You'll Be Doing



Develop architectural design solutions from concept through to detailed construction drawings

Produce high-quality design presentations and technical drawings

Addressing key design decisions, balancing risks, benefits, and outcomes for complex technical problems

Communicating and coordinating architecture development and technical change across portfolios and products

Attend site meetings, respond to RFI's and manage contractor queries

Ensure compliance with applicable building regulations, GMP standards, ISO classifications and industry best practices

Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth project progression

What We Are Looking For



Degree in Architecture (RIBA Part III qualified or equivalent)

Registered Architect (ARB)

Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience

Construction site experience

In-depth knowledge of UK planning and building regulations

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit

Ability to manage and direct a wider design team

Experience of project delivery and working to deadlines

Ability to model and produce design and working drawings to a high standard

Sound understanding of sustainable design solutions

Capacity to develop practical design solutions under pressure

Flexible, adaptable and team player

Outstanding written, drawn and verbal communication and presentation skills

especially with contractors and consultants
