Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and innovative Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of various projects, ensuring that they meet both aesthetic and functional requirements. You will collaborate with clients, engineers, and other professionals to create designs that are not only visually appealing but also practical and sustainable.

Duties

Develop and present architectural designs through sketches and detailed drawings. Utilise software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, and NavisWorks to create accurate models and plans. Manage project timelines and budgets while ensuring compliance with building regulations and codes. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into design proposals. Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address any issues that may arise during construction. Prepare detailed documentation for planning applications, including specifications and reports. Work closely with contractors and builders during the construction phase to ensure design integrity is maintained. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance design quality.

Requirements

A degree in Architecture or a related field is essential. Proficiency in architectural software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, Sketchup, and Adobe Creative Suite. Strong skills in joinery and building techniques are advantageous. Excellent project management abilities with a keen attention to detail. Ability to create compelling sketches that effectively communicate design concepts. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members. A portfolio showcasing previous architectural projects is required for consideration.
